Life changing three weeks in Kenya - more details and schedule:
JAN 10 -12
NAIROBI
- We will arrive to Nairobi airport and will be transferred to a local hotel for two nights. The first day is just for arrivals and we all go eat out for some local food dinner! The second day we wake up at sunrise to do our first safari and visit the Sheldrick baby elephant nursery! We start this off with a bang!

JAN 13 -23
TSAVO WEST
- This is where we will get really settled and stay for a decent chunk of time, 10 full days to really slow down. Time won't exist here and the goal will be to completely relax and find a way to do absolutely nothing but enjoy nature. Have you ever gone far into nature and did nothing but read and relax? Well you will now!
- We will take the train from Nairobi to a Bird Sanctuary that borders the Tsavo National Park. Here we will be deep in the bush, not exactly camping but living African style without the luxuries you are used to. Instead of tents there are mud cottages where you will get your own room and private bathroom. The property contains four cottages with multiple bedrooms. As each family books they can have a pick of their preference of what's available. While this is very basic and rustic (RUSTIC I warn you!!!), it does have hot showers and limited WIFI. While staying here we will do many cultural activities, enjoy daily sunsets, eat dinners on a gorgeous rooftop, feed bush babies and gennets and we will experience our second shared safari for one full day in Tsavo National Park known for red elephants! If you've always wanted to go camping deep in nature but camping with real beds and walls and a roof, this is it! :)

JAN 24 -31
DIANI BEACH
- With Kenya boasting the most pristine beaches in Africa, we will end our trip with our last week in a beach house in Diani beach where the sand is white and water is turquoise! We will share a big house (each family with a private room!) and we will still have mostly the same schedule but much more time and ability to do more tourist things as we will be back closer to civilization than in the last property. This week will include a few more cultural activities and one half day snorkel activity on glass bottom boats.

DAILY SCHEDULE
The schedule is flexible and we will adjust anything daily that we need to to meet everyone's needs but here is an idea:
* 7 - 9am BREAKFAST (serve yourself or cook something with someone!)
* 9am - 10am CIRCLE UP (where we connect to share what's going on for us, support and uplift each other. THIS is my favorite thing in the world!)
* 11am - KIDS CLASS (emotional intelligence play time!)
* 1pm - LUNCH
* 2pm - SIESTA HOUR (One hour of QUIET time - kids can try it too but this is mostly for the adults... no talking, no music, this is an hour of silence and rest)
* 4pm - CULTURAL ACTIVITY (A local will come by to share a story or teach us something)
* 5pm WALK
* 6pm SHARED DINNER
* 7pm SUNSET & BONFIRE time
